Nancy German, President, Primacom Inc.
Prior to establishing her own firm, Ms. German led Pratt & Whitney Canada’s worldwide external and internal communications as Vice President, Communications, from 2001 to 2014. Her responsibilities included strategic planning, marketing and business communications, internal communications, public relations, brand positioning, advertising, digital communications, public affairs and government communications as well as corporate social responsibility.
As a member of the Executive Committee at Pratt & Whitney Canada, and as a member of the communications leadership teams at Pratt & Whitney and United Technologies, Ms. German played a key role in driving Pratt & Whitney Canada’s growth objectives and positioning it as a global leader in the aerospace industry. She also successfully drove the implementation of a public relations and advocacy strategy to establish Pratt & Whitney Canada as an economic pillar in Canada. She joined the company as Manager, Employee Communications, in 1999. In this capacity, she led many transformation initiatives and helped position the company as an employer of choice, which led to its being selected as one of the top 100 employers in Canada.
Before joining Pratt & Whitney Canada, Ms. German held strategic positions at a number of major corporations, including the Laurentian Bank of Canada (1998-1999); Metro (1994-1998); Productions Jamais Deux Sans Toi (1992-1993); Groupe Everest (1990-1992); and Groupe Denis (1986-1990).
Active on boards and steering committees, Ms. German has chaired the Aéro Montréal Branding and Promotion Working Group since 2012. She was a member of the Public Affairs steering committee for the Aerospace Industries Association of Canada and for the General Aviation Manufacturers Association. She has also served on the boards of Make-A-Wish Foundation and Fondation maman Dion.
Ms. German graduated from the Université de Montréal (Translation, 1986) and HEC Montréal (Marketing, 1992). She also completed the Advanced Executive Program at the University of Virginia Darden School of Business in 2001. In 2011, she received an award from the Université de Montréal in recognition of her leadership and successful international career in the fields of communications and marketing.
Michel Trudeau, Strategic Advisor, Primacom Inc.
Michel Trudeau has honed his skills in the world of publishing and communications throughout his career. He played a leading role at many major dailies and magazines in Canada and the U.S. before founding Primacom Média Inc., a firm that specializes in branding, and serving as its president from 2000 to 2010.
In this role, Mr. Trudeau repositioned the brand of the Canadian Bar Association (Québec Branch) and forged business partnerships that have become a new source of revenue for the group. He is also connected to the success of the PR strategy for major events such as Mosaïcultures Internationales de Montréal and Salon des générations. In addition, he is the author of a media-relations training program that he has delivered to a number of management teams. He has also developed internal communications strategies to rally employees around the objectives of organizations and recognize their achievements.
From 1988 to 1999, Mr. Trudeau held a number of senior positions at Éditions Télémédia and Trustar, now known as TVA Publications. As an Executive Committee member at these renowned publishing houses, he contributed to the launch of new products and the success of established magazines in Quebec and Canada. He is also an electronic-publishing pioneer, having launched the Guide internet and the online edition of TV Hebdo.
From 1968 to 1985, Mr. Trudeau held positions of increasing responsibility within Quebecor as a journalist, editor and publisher of Le Journal de Montréal, Le Journal de Québec, the Philadelphia Journal and the Winnipeg Sun.
Today, he is a strategic advisor to Primacom’s clients and partners.
Judith Parenteau, Communications Advisor, Primacom Inc.
With a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the Université du Québec à Montréal’s School of Management and an ITHQ Signature diploma in hotel and restaurant management, Judith has more than five years of experience in communication.
She joined the Primacom team in 2017 as a consultant after working for several well-known organizations. Among others, she worked closely with Jérôme Ferrer, Grand Chef Relais & Châteaux, at Groupe Europea, and with the Jerry Ferrer restaurant chain. This valuable experience enabled her to contribute to the implementation of these prestigious establishment’s brand strategy and expansion plans. She previously coordinated communications and marketing activities at Exploramer and Fourchette bleue.
Judith is recognized for her creativity, her ability to quickly grasp the issues, and her dedication to developing effective strategies and solutions. Her professional journey has enabled her to acquire solid skills, particularly in digital communications, marketing and events organization.
With a keen interest in international affairs, she travels throughout Europe and the United States to discover new trends and best practices in public relations and to pursue her professional and personal development for the benefit of Primacom’s clients.
