Michel Trudeau, Strategic Advisor
Michel Trudeau has honed his skills in the world of publishing and communications throughout his career. He played a leading role at many major dailies and magazines in Canada and the U.S. before founding Primacom Média Inc., a firm that specializes in branding, and serving as its president from 2000 to 2010.
In this role, Mr. Trudeau repositioned the brand of the Canadian Bar Association (Québec Branch) and forged business partnerships that have become a new source of revenue for the group. He is also connected to the success of the PR strategy for major events such as Mosaïcultures Internationales de Montréal and Salon des générations. In addition, he is the author of a media-relations training program that he has delivered to a number of management teams. He has also developed internal communications strategies to rally employees around the objectives of organizations and recognize their achievements.
From 1988 to 1999, Mr. Trudeau held a number of senior positions at Éditions Télémédia and Trustar, now known as TVA Publications. As an Executive Committee member at these renowned publishing houses, he contributed to the launch of new products and the success of established magazines in Quebec and Canada. He is also an electronic-publishing pioneer, having launched the Guide internet and the online edition of TV Hebdo.
From 1968 to 1985, Mr. Trudeau held positions of increasing responsibility within Quebecor as a journalist, editor and publisher of Le Journal de Montréal, Le Journal de Québec, the Philadelphia Journal and the Winnipeg Sun.
Today, he is a strategic advisor to Primacom’s clients and partners.
